Dr. Alice Villalobos earned her DVM while completing a first generation oncology residency program at UC Davis in 1972. She is a charter member of the Veterinary Cancer Society and the International Association for Animal Hospice and Palliative Care, President Emeritus of the Society for Veterinary Medical Ethics, and past President of the American Association of Human Bond Veterinarians. She has published a textbook, chapters and numerous articles and is regarded as a pioneer in oncology and end-of-life care. She a Leo Bustad Veterinarian of the Year recipient, a UCD Alumni Achievement Award winner, and was recently honored with the SCVMA's H. Don Mahan Memorial Award.
