Dr. Johnson completed her undergraduate studies at Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts earning a Bachelor of Science in biology, awarded Cum Laude, and earned her VMD in 1986 at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. She was then awarded an internship in large animal medicine and surgery at the New Bolton Center.
Dr. Johnson worked for two years at Almahurst Farms of Pennsylvania, then started her own Standardbred racetrack and equine performance practice based at Pompano Park in FL and Pocono Downs in PA, then a practice in Wellington, FL. Dr. Johnson then completed postgraduate training in animal chiropractic at the Options for Animal and earned certification by the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association.
Dr. Johnson moved to Calabasas, CA in the spring of 2004 and started Oakhill Shockwave where she treats equine and small animals with chiropractic and shockwave to maintain optimal performance and health.
